Learn from skateboarders... seriously!

What I have learnt in the last 42 years of my earthy living is that life sometimes throw you back hard and propel you outwards without warning. There are ups and downs, some have more of the other, some may not, nevertheless we can only plan for the good and the bad and never ever challenge God’s authority when it comes to fate.

I used to be a skateboarder yet never made it professional and wasn’t intent to either but like any other sport, practices make perfect and the saying for skateboarder is that of life lesson. The environments we are skateboarding is our daily life, there are many challenges, some are tougher than others, many of them even throw us down hard on asphalt and more so on concrete. Bones are broken, skin are bruised, but never giving up and always seeking new challenges are what most skateboarders are living to.

Few skateboarders are good looking, if some of us are given the luxury we always ended up hiding behind our scars, our life scars and we are proud of those. If life throw you up and down, scars are always the one that reminded us of the good and bad times, we can hide them through cosmetics and mere aesthetics but wearing scars proudly are only among skateboarders.

Here is a video on why we do what we do and how I’ve taken to liken my scars again after many years of not skateboarding (25 years to be exact).

Produced by Dentsu Indonesia and developed by my previous startup company, Aktifmob. This is an example how brands are now switching and entering the OTT market using mobile marketing strategy as an answer to advertising limitations in the tobacco industry. LA Music Project App also integrate into its Facebook page and its own Djarum LA Lights site as part of its global campaign. How it works First, download the app from either Google Play or Blackberry App World , then register yourself to join the community. Second, play around in either single or group mode (jam with friends who has similar app installed). Unlock addit...
